Here is the full story

We don't shout about every grant we win, but over a period of six weeks in July/august 2025, the amazing Carolyn Trafford FdA, PgC, helped five different clients secure grants, that will make a significant difference to each organisation's work.

That's worth celebrating!

Our clients are based all over the UK, and their projects were all extremely diverse, as were the funders approached.

Grant recipients included:
* A charity in Burton-on-Trent secured £13.5k to provide sports programmes for disadvantaged young people,
* A Sandwell charity secure £20k for volunteer coordination,
* A Milton Keynes charity secured £25k to assist vulnerable young people into training and employment,
* An Aylesbury charity secured a £20k and a second £35k grant to pay for the resources needed to run youth volunteering programmes over the next 3 years,
* And finally, a Sandwell based CIC secured £20k to build hope by providing warm spaces, developing employability and addressing food poverty.

In the current climate of ever-increasing competition for funds, we remind organisations not to overlook these more modest grants. Whilst these may not be huge awards, often these are the most accessible and used well; they can make a huge difference.

The key to winning any grant is to:
1) Identify the right funder(s) based on a careful review of individual funder's eligibility criteria and your funding needs.
2) Understand what each funder wants to achieve,
3) Ensuring that your project can deliver the outcomes/impacts that a funder wants (this isn't about bending projects to fit funders, rather it's about finding the right match).
4) Prepare a strong bid that responds to all of the funder's requirements and clearly explains the difference their investment will make.
